Project Controls Philosophy

    The IPR approach to Project Controls is explained best with the following statement:

"Project Controls is less about control
and more about Communications"

    We believe that communicating accurate, timely and concise information will be the key to Project Success. Providing schedule and cost information that is outdated and that doesn't include legitimate trend forecasting will only tell the project team where they have been. At IPR our focus is on where the project is going. Early warning of potential problems can mitigate potential overruns and schedule misses by giving the team an opportunity to act instead of react.

    Team alignment occurs by involving all stakeholders in the development of the Project Baseline and Control Plan. Ensuring that everyone participates and understands the plan will minimize potential disagreement during execution.

    Aggressively utilizing earned value management will give the Team a true prospective of the status of cost and schedule.

    The IPR representatives are experienced at using Primavera SureTrak, P3 (Primavera Project Planner), Primavera Engineering and Construction, Primavera Maintenance and Turnaround as well as Microsoft Project.
